Healing All The Pieces of You.
Trauma-informed therapy for people of color ready to stop just getting through it, and start thriving at work, in school, in sport, and at home.

WHY UNDERTONE
An undertone is the color beneath the color, the thing that decides how everything else shows up, even when no one names it.
Most of the people I work with are very good on the surface. They perform, deliver, and hold it together. This is the place for who you are underneath what you do.
When survival mode becomes the way you live
Overfunctioning, masking, staying on guard, proving yourself, never slowing down: these patterns got you through. Many were reasonable responses to trauma, to racism, or to growing up with more responsibility than support. But what helped you survive can keep you stuck. Feeling stuck usually isn't a lack of effort. Often it's a nervous system still bracing for something that already happened. This isn't about fixing you. We'll name what shaped you honestly, heal what needs healing, and decide together what thriving looks like for you.
In-network through Headway with Aetna, Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, and Cigna. Private pay with tiered rates.
This is the place for you if:
— You're functioning on the outside but exhausted underneath
— Something that happened still shapes how you react, even years later
— You feel stuck, working hard with no clear direction
— You've spent years compensating for ADHD that was missed or dismissed
— Your anxiety spikes before the game, the presentation, or the review
— You work twice as hard to feel "enough"
These patterns aren’t personal failures. They are survival strategies.
More about me
Where we work together
Relational Trauma
Anxiety and self-doubt at work, in school, and in sport, including setbacks and life after a defining role.
Feeling Stuck
Burnout, plateaus, transitions, and the sense that you're getting through life instead of living it.
ADHD & Masking
Support for adults whose ADHD was missed, dismissed, or hidden behind working twice as hard. Therapy and skills, not testing.
Healing Trauma
Single moments and long histories: experiences that still shape how you react, including racial trauma and relationship wounds.
“My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humor, and some style.”
MAYA ANGELOU
How we work
We start with what's keeping you in survival mode now, then look underneath: what happened, what you learned to do to get through it, and what it has meant to carry expectations others don't. Then we build what thriving looks like for you: steadier, more present, and more yourself.
— We look at the systems, not just the symptoms: racism, family expectations, and the cultures of school, sport, and work
— EMDR for the experiences that still shape how you react
— Somatic and nervous system work so your body can stop bracing
— Mindfulness and acceptance-based tools to stay present under pressure
— Parts work for the inner critic that never lets up
— Practical CBT, DBT, and ADHD skills for the habits that keep you stuck
Therapy with me is direct, warm, culturally grounded, and paced with care.
